It's me, Lauren! I am the owner and overtly ambitious fabricator behind Abstruse Art. A true purveyor of nostalgia, I like to combine elements from the 70's and 90's to create unique and memorable designs and installations.

I kicked off Abstruse Art in Denver as an outlet for my 70’s-style super-graphic designs. Very quickly my passion to incorporating disco sculptures took hold and there was no looking back. I’ve curated large-format mural installations and disco activations for brands like Method Soap and Allē, and featured activation work at festivals like Coachella and Stagecoach.

A few years ago, I opened my online storefront to introduce disco western-ware! I have a passion for wearable art and enjoy creating bolo-ties that add a little flair without sacrificing formality. I enjoy creating affordable and portable art to encourage folks to be a lil less serious. Everything I create is handmade in Denver, Colorado with love, disco, and probably a dash of Abba.

I’ve partnered with local Denver brands to curate curious interactive activations that showcase disco and a far less serious side of design. You may recognize my designs from curated events for Dairy Block, Denver Pride, Playhaus, RiNo Arts District and more.
